The Republican Party is already cheering “Four More Years.”

A national poll released Thursday morning finds that 70 percent of GOP voters want President Trump to run again, a strong endorsement of his agenda and approach.

Public Policy Polling said that Trump would crush any opponent in the Republican Party primary, including Vice President Mike Pence. Those results:

  • Trump leads Mike Pence by 40 points, 62 percent to 22 percent.
  • Trump leads Sen. Ted Cruz by 43 points, 64 percent to 21 percent.
  • Trump leads Ohio Gov. John Kasich by 51 points, 70 percent to 19 percent.
  • Trump leads Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake by 58 points, 74 percent to 16 percent.

The Democratic pollster, however, also found that Trump would lose his bid if the election were held today. His most threatening Democratic challenger in the poll is former Vice President Joe Biden who would win 54 percent to 40 percent.

Said the poll analysis of Trump, "The country overall may have had enough of him, but he remains on strong ground within his own party."
