Four cities switch out fireworks for drone shows on Independence Day
FILE - This March 12, 2014, file photo shows a drone flown by Brian Wilson, landing after flying over the scene of an explosion that leveled two apartment buildings in the East Harlem neighborhood of New York. Even though it's illegal to fly the devices just about anywhere in New York City without permission, the incidents and breathtaking videos of Manhattan's steel-and-glass canyons and sweeping skyline photos suggest that the restrictions are being widely flouted. Cities across the nation are swapping out Independence Day firework shows for drone shows.
