Ministers: Lawmakers should let feds probe program

CHICAGO (AP) — A group of Chicago ministers says a legislative panel probing Gov. Pat Quinn’s troubled 2010 anti-violence program should hold off and let federal investigators conduct their investigation.

The Legislative Audit Commission subpoenaed witnesses Wednesday but several are not testifying. The commission has been asked by the U.S. Department of Justice to temporarily suspend action.
