The track work on Metro continues this weekend, with shutdowns planned along the Orange and Blue lines, plus more delays scheduled for the Red Line.
The agency is planning to shut down both the Rosslyn and Arlington Cemetery stations from 10 p.m. Friday through the end of the day on Sunday. That means service on the Orange Line will not run between Foggy Bottom and Court House. The gap on the Blue Line will extend from Foggy Bottom to the Pentagon stop.
The agency will run free shuttle buses between the affected stations throughout the weekend. Officials recommends riders tack on 20 to 30 minutes to their travel plans.
Meanwhile, trains will share a single track on two sections of the Red Line: between Van Ness and Friendship Heights and also New York Avenue to Rhode Island Avenue. The single tracking will translate to up to 15-minute delays for riders as trains take turns passing through the areas.
Riders on the Yellow and Green lines will be spared from the work.
