Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice responded to a report that Donald Trump called her a “bitch” in 2006 by cryptically telling the Republican nominee payback is coming.
In an email to CNN on Tuesday, Rice said she “can’t wait until November 9!” The message was a hint she is looking forward to the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, currently ahead in national polls, winning on Election Day.
Earlier Tuesday, a report emerged that the billionaire businessman had said Rice was a “lovely woman, but I think she’s a bitch,” during a speech at the Learning Annex.
“She goes around to other countries and other nations, negotiates with their leaders, comes back and nothing ever happens,” Trump added.
The former top diplomat went after Trump earlier this month, posting to Facebook her reaction to his Access Hollywood hot mic incident.
“Enough! Donald Trump should not be president. He should withdraw,” she wrote on Oct. 8.
