CSN and the Redskins ink a new long term deal

 

The Washington Redskins the mid Atlantics biggest sports brand has extended their exclusive deal with Comcast SportsNet.
As part of the expanded agreement, Comcast SportsNet will continue to air Redskins Kickoff and Redskins Postgame Live, the area’s most comprehensive and entertaining pre- and postgame commentary featuring insider previews, locker room access, player reports and gameday strategy. Other programming includes Redskins Nation; Comcast SportsNet’s daily team update giving fans the latest news and outlook on players, coaches and personnel.
Kelli Johnson who has established herself as one of the best football reporters in the NFL will get Redskins coach Jim Zorn every Monday at 5:45p.m. a spot that for years belonged to George Michael the former sports director of NBC4.
CSN will continue to broadcast live from the set at Comcast SportsNet Gate at FedEx Field their pre and postgame show. They will return with the outstanding CSN team headed by Chick Hernandez, Kelli Johnson, Trevor Matich, Brian Mitchell, Antonio Freeman, Doc Walker, Doug Gansler and a cast of thousands. They will air the show from their studios in Bethesda when the team in on the road.
Larry Michael will continue to host the award winning Redskins Nation that is one of the most popular shows on CSN.
Things start Thursday when the Redskins take on the Ravens with Mike Patrick and Joe Theismann calling the action at 7:30p.m.
The game will be simulcast locally on NBC4 for the over air fans.
