Mike Tyson on Obamacare: It has been “horrible”

Mike Tyson — once a supporter of universal healthcare — is now condemning the rollout of Obamacare, telling CNN‘s Piers Morgan that it has been “horrible.”

The former heavyweight boxing champion was a guest on Piers Morgan Live on Wednesday night, where the two men discussed Tyson’s past and current views on healthcare reform.

“It’s just really went horrible,” he said of Obamacare. “It’s really bad.”

Tyson said he would be supportive of the Affordable Care Act — if people were able to actually get healthcare through the system. He also said there needed to be another plan to replace Obamacare.

“I was for it 100 percent, but we just have come to the reality that it didn’t work,” he said.

The retired boxer said he still thought it was a positive thing for a black man to be President of the United States.

Tyson also condemned the ‘knockout game’ craze, saying he had “no idea” why young people would engage in such activities.

“Maybe they’re just evil, some evil people,” he speculated.

Young black men need to conduct themselves in respectable ways, he said, especially since the criminal justice system is against them.
