Chelsea Clinton took a swipe at White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway on Friday for wrongly referencing a “massacre” that actually never took place.
In a tweet on Friday morning, Clinton referenced an attack in France and said: “Very grateful no one seriously hurt in the Louvre attack …or the (completely fake) Bowling Green Massacre. Please don’t make up attacks.”

Appearing on MSNBC on Thursday, Conway was discussing President Trump’s restrictions on refugees and immigration from certain Muslim-majority countries and referenced the “masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre.”
There was no such massacre. Conway later explained on Twitter that she misspoke and was referring to the “Bowling Green terrorists,” linking to an ABC story about suspected al Qaeda bombmakers who were reportedly living as refugees in Kentucky in 2009.
On @hardball @NBCNews @MSNBC I meant to say “Bowling Green terrorists” as reported here:

Clinton, the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, has been outspoken on Twitter in recent days against the Trump administration, posting photos from New York’s protests to Trump’s immigration executive orders.
