Metro plans another weekend of major track work, with this one affecting all five lines including a shutdown on the Red Line.
The transit agency plans to shut down service between the Red Line’s Bethesda and Grosvenor stations starting at 10 p.m. Friday, running free bus shuttles instead. The closure will run through Sunday.
Elsewhere, the system is planning to run trains along a single track in the following spots, which can delay trains along the full line:
Orange Line:
- East Falls Church to West Falls Church
- Stadium-Armory and Cheverly
Blue Line: Braddock Road and Van Dorn Street
Green Line: Naylor Road and Branch Avenue
Yellow Line: Braddock Road and Huntington
