Pity Utah Sen. Mitt Romney. His Believe in America political action committee decided last Friday to cancel its ski trip for big donors.
“Thank you for your patience as we navigated our way through these last two weeks. After reviewing the survey responses and discussing with Senator Romney and our team, we have made the tough decision to officially postpone the Believe in America PAC Ski Trip. We look forward to finding a time for us all to get together in Utah later in the year,” said an email.
Over those two weeks, the coronavirus crisis expanded, and Romney was confronted for criticizing then-President Donald Trump.

- The busts of political figures in the Oval Office continue to trip up the media. Recall in 2017 that Time magazine said Trump got rid of a bust of Martin Luther King Jr., when it was just behind an opened door. This week, the Washington Post said that President Biden added the bust of former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt but showed a photo of the bust of migrant leader Cesar Chavez. She was elsewhere in the Oval Office. …

- Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar made history back home in Minnesota on Election Day, and it’s not good. In her win, she was 15.7 points behind Biden’s showing in the 5th Congressional District, Eric Ostermeier, with the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, told us. That’s more than twice the past biggest gap record held by Michele Bachmann’s 6.9 points behind John McCain in 2008.
