DUI checkpoints in College Park for St. Patrick’s Day

If you plan to drink and drive in College Park on St. Patrick’s Day, police will be looking for you.

Prince George’s County and University of Maryland police are teaming up to conduct sobriety checkpoints and DUI patrols in College Park on Thursday, it was announced.

“Each year drunk driving is a major cause of injury and fatal collisions and we want to encourage those who are considering driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol to designate a sober driver if they choose to drink,” said a news release from the Prince George’s County police department.
