Democratic presidential hopeful Seth Moulton thinks President Trump does not have a cohesive plan to deal with China.
Speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” the Massachusetts representative said that the United States needs to stand firm against the rising influence of China in the region and across the globe.
“We absolutely need to get tough with China, and it’s not just on trade. It’s the rising threat that China is to our national security, I mean they are stealing American ideas and American military secrets through the internet every single day,” Moulton said.
“I don’t think this administration has a strategy, they don’t have any sense of urgency, and they clearly don’t know what this means to American families,” he said.

The congressman said he wanted to see alliances with other Asian countries bolstered as a means to use the “NATO model” in the Pacific region to contain China and North Korea. Moulton also critiqued the president for “undermining” allies across the globe.
Although one of the many Democratic candidates in the running for 2020, Moulton is not one of the most well-known of the more than 20 candidates vying for the Democratic nomination and has not made much headway in the polls.
