Fairfax County police have arrested a Rockville man accused of being a cyber predator.

Joshua Howard Michaels, 30, was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child and using a communications system to facilitate certain offenses involving children.

Police began their investigation in December when the mother of a 14-year-old Fairfax County girl found disturbing documents on the home computer. For four months, Michaels exchanged e-mails with the teen and talked with her over a Web cam. Police said Michaels sent the girl explicit photos and asked the girl to send explicit photos of herself.

Police said the two met on-line and the victim was not physically harmed.
