GOLDEN POND, Ky. (AP) — Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area is offering eagle viewing trips by van and river cruise in January and February.
According to a news release from LBL, the 170,000-acre recreation area on the Tennessee-Kentucky border is a major wintering spot for bald eagles. Thanks to recent efforts to restore eagle habitats, there has been a tremendous increase in the number of eagles wintering and nesting in the area.
