I can’t claim to know much more than anyone else after the Wizards improved to 2-0 in the preseason with a 97-83 win at Cleveland. From the early going, via radio and internet, it certainly looked like the pendulum was quickly swinging back after how promising things had started on Tuesday in Dallas. But John Wall apparenty figured out how to make in-game adjustments and sparked a turnaround, Yi Jianlian continued to play well, and even Al Thornton got into the act. A sign of more to come?
The third game in four days tonight at Chicago may be a little more difficult to get on track if it starts the way things did in Cleveland.
Three questions to ponder: 1) Will Wall get to double-double territory after consecutive games with 9 assists, or will fatigue start to creep in? 2) Where does Adam Morrison figure in the equation? After such a promising camp, he seemed primed to make a stronger impression than he has after two games. 3) What is Yi’s best position? It will be interesting to see who he matches up against on defense in Chicago.
