Brian Walshe has been charged with murder in connection to the disappearance of his wife, Ana Walshe.
The murder warrant was issued on Tuesday, and Brian Walshe is set to appear in court to face the charge as early as Wednesday, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said in a video statement.

“The continued investigation has now allowed police to obtain an arrest warrant, charging Brian Walshe with the murder of his wife,” Morrissey said.
Brian Walshe will be transported to the Quincy District Court for an arraignment hearing, the DA added.
“Additional details in the investigation and the evidence in support of those charges are likely to be presented at arraignment but will not be disclosed at this time,” he continued.
Investigators have been looking for Ana Walshe since New Year’s Day. Brian Walshe was arrested originally on charges of misleading police after allegedly providing conflicting statements about his wife’s location and his whereabouts while he was on house arrest.
Now, police are charging Brian Walshe with murder after gathering evidence in the days following Ana Walshe’s disappearance, which was reported by her employees in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 4.
Investigators obtained evidence from the Walshes’ basement, a trash compactor at a transfer station, and video surveillance footage. A bloody knife and blood remnants were discovered in the basement of the couple’s home, and a hacksaw, hatchet, rug, and cleaning supplies were found in a transfer station’s trash compactor 15 minutes from Brian Walshe’s mother’s home.
Brian Walshe’s internet records showed he searched “how to dispose of a 115-pound woman” and for information on dismemberment.

Sealed search warrants related to the case were executed on Thursday and returned on Friday.
Brian Walshe is in police custody under a $500,000 bail. He was previously on house arrest after being charged and convicted of wire fraud and stolen art pieces.
