Jimmy Fallon impersonates Trump in phone call with Cruz

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz joined Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s Tonight Show Thursday and spoke with an impersonator of GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

Fallon chided the Texas senator over his win in Colorado last week, having bigger hands and preferring to stick to the rule of law instead of building a wall, which Fallon said is the backward spelling of “law.”

Cruz also had the chance to defend his comment attacking New York’s liberal values.

“Look Donald, I’m not going to pander to New Yorkers. I love New York City. It is the greatest city in the world with the best looking audience in the entire world. So when I said New York values, I was merely trying to say that I value New York,” Cruz said.

During the on-set interview, Cruz and Fallon talked expectations for the April 19 primary in New York. Cruz joked that he expects to win 100 percent of Republicans even though a Real Clear Politics average has him in third place, more than 30 points behind Manhattan businessman Donald Trump.
