At Clare Booth Luce event, YAF’s Kate Obenshain exposes the Left’s “War on Women”

Liberals and the Obama administration have a funny way of showing their respect for women, Young America’s Foundation (YAF) Vice President Kate Obenshain, told attendees of a Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute conference in Washington, D.C. Friday afternoon.

Referencing his campaign for “change,” Obenshain described  President Barack Obama’s presidency as a “complete betrayal of what this president ran on.

“This administration has the audacity to say that conservatives are engaged in a ‘War Against Women,” Obenshain charged, saying Obama’s actions and policies, not conservatives’ “rip [Americans] apart at the seams.”

Though Obama claims that it is conservatives who are waging a ‘War on Women,’ Obenshain pointed out that, “Obamacare and the skyrocketing costs of Obamacare are going to hurt women.”

What’s more, Obenshain said, is that liberals have done nothing to combat the attacks on conservative women from fellow liberals. Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann’s attacks on prominent conservative females like Sarah Palin are just a few examples of the “sexism on the left,” Obenshain said.

“[Liberals] don’t care about gender parody in Congress; they care about leftists,” she added.

Obenshain urged her young listeners, particularly the females in the audience that “you have to be involved. There is too much at stake.”

With the Obama Administration only interested in “cementing its ideology,” Obenshain said she believes conservatives should fight for their freedom, which is “not a gift from Barack Obama” but rather a gift from God.

Obenshain, who is also the Executive Producer of the upcoming film The Conservatives, spoke as part of a conference on Capitol Hill that included other speakers such as 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, HotAir.com Editor at Large and Fox News contributor Mary Katharine Ham and Center for Urban Renewal & Education Founder and President Star Parker.
