On Friday at 10:30 a.m., fire officials from around the Washington area are scheduled to hold a fireworks safety demonstration at the D.C. Fire & Emergency Medical Services Training Academy at 4600 Sheppard Pkwy. in southwest D.C.
Area fire chiefs will be on hand to talk about the dangers of illegal fireworks and to demonstrate how fireworks are mishandled. Bomb squads also will be on hand for a live demonstration.
Forewarned is fair warning. Wouldn’t want to see this again.
