Will Ferrell roasts Bush, 2016 in ‘SNL’ return

In a surprise return to “Saturday Night Live,” Will Ferrell reprised his famous aughts role of President George W. Bush to critique the 2016 Republican field and to say, “Miss me, don’t you?” Not even brother Jeb was immune to the character’s scorn.

“Jeb! Oh boy. Poor Jeb,” the Bush character says. “You’ve got to admit, it’s a pretty good plot twist that I turned out to be the smart one.”

“I wish you had asked my about the exclamation point at the end of his name,” the Bush character continued. “Look, I don’t like the taste of Broccoli. But it doesn’t get any tastier if you call it ‘Broccoli!'”

“[Jeb’s] an insider who knows how to govern. The Republicans don’t want that,” Ferrell’s character said. “They want somebody who is cuckoo for coco puffs.”

The other candidates weren’t immune from the parody president’s jibes.

“I like Carly,” Bush’s character said. “She’s not qualified in any way to be president. In many ways she reminds me of me.”

On Ted Cruz and Marco, “Rubio and Cruz? Sounds like a Miami law firm. If you’ve been injured on the job, call Rubio and Cruz.”

And, of course, the Bush character touched on Donald Trump, first just repeatedly flashing a picture of the business mogul and repeatedly laughing.

A cackling Bush character asked, “With the hair? And the 100 foot wall?”

“Whenever I get in a bad mood, I just picture his big, fat, orange, oompa loompa face, and I just piss my pants,” Ferrell said.
