An investment conference aimed at providing strategies for wealthy individuals is coming to Woodley Park on Thursday.
The Money Show conference, sponsored by Florida-based Intershow, travels to locations around the country to provide investment advice.
It features speakers and seminars aimed at increasing investment independence.
“The constituency is high-net-worth individuals,” said Aaron West, senior vice president of marketing at Intershow. “We’re trying to allow them to meet experts so they can get the education they need to make educated investment decisions for themselves. We help them become better-educated, self-directed investors.”
West said about 4,000 people have already registered for the event, being held at the Wardman Park Marriott Hotel in Woodley Park.
The conference begins Thursday morning and runs through Saturday afternoon.
Among those expected to speak are Steve Forbes, editor of Forbes Magazine, and Lawrence Kudlow, host of CNBC’s “Kudlow & Company.” Knight Kiplinger, editor and chief of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, is also expected to speak.
