Police make arrest in Rosedale murder

Baltimore County police have arrested a Essex man, charging him with a shooting death in Rosedale last month.

Charles Eugene Duckett, 35, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Richard Theodore Nock, 29, of Baltimore, police said.

Nock was found shot to death early on the morning of May 11, in the White Marsh area.

He was in a car parked in front of an apartment in the 2000 block of Flintshire Road in Rosedale, dead from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Police learned that Nock had been at a party earlier that night but left to meet with a man known as “DC.”

Nock told an acquaintance he was meeting “DC” and if there was any trouble, his family should be told it was “DC” who was responsible, police said.

Police were able to track Duckett and determine that he was “DC” through information about his own vehicle and cell phone activity that night.

He is currently being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center with bail denied.
