President Trump said he’s working from his club in New Jersey this weekend in order to avoid a major disruption in New York City.
“Rather than causing a big disruption in N.Y.C., I will be working out of my home in Bedminster, N.J. this weekend. Also saves country money!” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s travel to Mar-a-Lago and his other properties has been the subject of controversy in recent months due to the extra costs for security they require. A recent report found two visits to Mar-a-Lago cost more than $1 million to taxpayers.
Many New Yorkers were concerned about what a presidential visit to Trump Tower, located on busy Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, would mean for traffic in the city. Presidential motorcades often cause a massive headache for Gothamites, and a Trump visit to his home would require shutting off traffic around the building located in one of the busiest areas of the city.
Trump has visited one of his properties on most of his weekends while in office.
Trump also revisited the House vote on the American Health Care Act in an earlier tweet on Friday.
Big win in the House – very exciting! But when everything comes together with the inclusion of Phase 2, we will have truly great healthcare!

Trump recognized that a small step toward a healthcare solution had been taken, and promised more to come.
“Big win in the House – very exciting! But when everything comes together with the inclusion of Phase 2, we will have truly great healthcare!” Trump tweeted.
