President Obama admits he has a potty mouth. The outgoing Democratic leader told NBC’s Lester Holt he has learned how to keep his cool, but will let a few foul words slide on occasion, according to a pre-taped interview that aired Friday evening.
“I tend to be somebody who focuses on what it is that I wanna get done as opposed to focusing on whatever grudges have developed,” Obama said.
“Now, look. My staff will tell you I can curse like a sailor behind closed doors sometimes. There have been a bunch of times where I’ve been aggravated. But I tend not to personalize politics that much partly because of what I just described.”
The Chicago chief executive said in his moments of frustration working with a Republican Congress that vowed not to cooperate with many of the administration’s plans, he challenged himself with taking the mentality of a conservative.
“I think, it dissipates the – the anger that I – I have sometimes been known to express,” Obama said.
