Merkle, a Lanham-based database marketing agency, has signed a new contract for ongoing consulting work with the National Wildlife Federation. The contract follows Merkle?s implementation of a comprehensive custom database for the federation.
The database, called a Fundraising Knowledge Center, includes NWF?s donor and membership information to help the nonprofit enhance its marketing efforts and improve the effectiveness of its donor programs.
Under the new contract, the company will perform ongoing consulting work to support the organization?s direct membership outreach strategies, including member acquisition, membership renewal and special-issue appeals.
Financial details of the new contract were not disclosed. A team of employees from Merkle?s fundraising division, Merkle/Domain, will perform duties under the contract.
The NWF is the nation?s largest private, nonprofit conservation education and advocacy organization.
In addition to its work with the NWF, Merkle provides database and donor programs for other fundraising organizations, including the Arthritis Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
