Apparently some Associated Press staffers were a little too boastful about their organization getting the news right Thursday morning when the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare. According to Jim Romenesko, the AP’s David Scott sent staffers a memo demanding that they stop making fun of the folks at CNN and other news organizations who had a “Dewey Defeats Truman” moment, reporting that the individual mandate had gotten struck down. “Please, immediately, stop taunting on social networks about CNN and others’ SCOTUS ruling mistake and the AP getting it right,” Scott insisted. “That’s not the impression we want to reflect as an organization. Let our reporting take the lead.”
