A 25-year-old Woodbridge man was held without bail after police say he sexually assaulted a 41-year-old woman and ran off when the woman’s husband came to her aid.

The woman was on her way home from a convenience store in Lake Ridge when police say she spotted a man following her on Oct. 31. Police say that man was Brandon Saffo, and when the woman tried to run, he chased her down and tackled her just outside her house on Manchester Way.
