Examining Opioids: Sen. Rob Portman on the opioid drug crisis

Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, said he would oppose a bipartisan bill that gives states greater power to set their own marijuana policy. He said his own state has a medicinal marijuana law with heavily regulation. But he shied away from further action on the federal level. It is illegal under federal law to possess marijuana, but a handful of states have legalized recreational use and more than 40 states have approved its use for medicinal purposes.
