Police probe landscaping fraud in Loudoun

Authorities in Loudoun County are investigating reports of landscaping fraud and looking for potential victims.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said Dave’s Lawn Service has reportedly been offering yard work but never completing the jobs. Victims are told they must pay for the services upfront, but the yard work is never finished or, in some cases, even started. Authorities said cases have been reported in the Wild Meadow Court, Raspberry Falls and River Creek areas.

The fake lawn service has been using a 1999 Dodge truck with a Maryland license plate and a 2004 Chevrolet truck, also with Maryland tags, authorities said.

Anyone who has information or has been a victim is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 703-777-0475.
