Looks like we have another problem to add to our #Sochiproblems list. Even worse than gross yellow water and strangers in people’s hotel rooms, former NFL player and U.S. Olympic bobsledder Johnny Quinn had to literally break out of his own bathroom on Saturday.
Yes, really.
Quinn tweeted that he was taking a shower and got locked or stuck in his bathroom. In the following tweet, he took a picture of his broken-down door — which seems to be partially made of cardboard — for the world to see.
I was taking a shower and the door got locked/jammed….

…With no phone to call for help, I used my bobsled push training to break out. #SochiJailBreak pic.twitter.com/apZRefgvCO

It didn’t take long for this picture to go viral making him instantly famous. Within 24 hours, Quinn conducted interviews with CNN Turner Sports, Olympic gold medalist figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, Good Morning America, Yahoo! Sports, the San Diego Tribune, Access Hollywood — and has gained nearly 4,000 new Twitter followers. Before tweeting the photo, he had roughly 11,700 followers.
Quinn probably didn’t expect that getting locked into his bathroom would make him famous, but judging by his tweets and media appearances, he’s loving every second of it.
