Six-year-old killed in P.G. fire A 6-year-old boy was killed early Sunday morning in a house fire in Lewisdale, according to Prince George’s County fire officials.

Firefighters responded to a call at 3:45 a.m. Sunday for a fire in a one-story brick home on the 2400 block of Griffen Street.

The 6-year-old boy and two women, approximately 30 and 60 years old, were discovered unconscious in the house. The firefighters could not revive the boy. The women were revived and transported to a hospital, where they are currently in critical condition.

A fourth woman, also about 60 years old, escaped from the home before firefighters arrived. The three women are believed to be the mother, aunt and grandmother of the 6-year-old.

Three shot in Southeast D.C.

A woman and two men were shot in front of 30 Danbury St. in Southeast D.C. at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, D.C. police report.

The victims, all between the ages of 25 and 28, were transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

The assailant is believed to be a black male about 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 and 16 or 17 years old. No arrests have been made.

60-year-old kidnapped, robbed

A 60-year-old man was kidnapped and forced to withdraw cash from various automated teller machines in the area Saturday.

The victim was approached at about 2 p.m. outside the Giant store at 2900 University Blvd. West in Wheaton by a man wielding what is believed to be a box cutter. The thief forced the victim into the passenger seat of his car, drove to various ATMs and forced the man to withdraw cash before leaving him uninjured at a gas station at 7000 Blair Road NW in the District.

The thief is believed to be a black male between 35 and 45 years old, about 5-foot-11 to 6 feet tall and weighing about 175 to 180 pounds.

A similar incident occurred in Wheaton on Nov. 23. Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division believe both crimes were committed by the same person.
