LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man who said he was beaten by sheriff’s deputies while visiting his brother at a Los Angeles County jail will receive more than $1 million to settle a civil rights lawsuit.
The Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/SiIRBJ ) says lawyers for Gabriel Carrillo announced the settlement Thursday.
