Does Trump have a Saudi real estate problem?

Donald Trump has made Hillary Clinton’s accpeting of Saudis’ money for her foundation a key issue of his campaign, but documents show that Trump has also recieved millions from the ruling family.

In June 2001, Trump sold the 45th floor of his Trump Tower to the Saudi royal family for $4.5 million according to documents obtained by the New York Daily News. Seven years later, the five apartments, which included 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, became the Saudi Mission to the United Nations, records show.

Trump has been very vocal during the campaign, claiming that Clinton should immediately return the donated funds back to the Saudis due to their poor human rights and women’s rights records. Writing in a Facebook post last year, Trump said, “Crooked Hillary says we must call on Saudi Arabia and other countries to stop funding hate. I am calling on her to immediately return the $25 million plus she got from them for the Clinton Foundation!”

Trump was asked about his dealings with the Saudis a while back and stated, “Saudi Arabia — and I get along great with all of them. They buy apartments from me. They spend $40 million, $50 million. Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much.”

Later, in an interview with Fox New’s Sean Hannity, when asked if he would accept money fom Saudi Arabia, he flatly said no.
