[VIDEO] Crossroads Generation Compares Obama’s Cool Factor with Romney’s Jobs Record

In a new video released yesterday afternoon, Crossroads Generation compares the “cool” factor between President Barack Obama and GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney. In a classic case of style versus substance, the viewer is at first treated to alternating clips of a predictably smooth-talking Obama and a Mitt Romney who appears disjointed and out of touch.

But the video then sheds light on how president Obama’s “cool” factor might outshine Romney’s, but Romney has a much smoother record on job creation.

At first glance, the video, titled “Vote Responsibly,” appears to be a little rough on Romney, showing  him in some unfortunate wardrobe choices, followed by a clip of Fox News anchor Shepard Smith asking, “Do you think [Romney] is aware he’s wearing mom-jeans?” The video also shows Paul Ryan comparing Romney’s musical tastes to elevator music, and includes a short, truly cringe-worthy review of the “Twilight” movie series by Romney.

Obama, on the other hand, is painted as the media darling, when he refers to himself as “eye-candy” during a clip of his recent appearance on The View (an appearance the Right strongly criticized him for, since he blew off a United Nations General Assembly meeting to tape the show). Viewers are then treated to a clip of the President wooing a crowd, singing Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”

But the question remains: is being the President of the United States about being “cool,” or is it about results?

The video then gives a short comparison of the two men’s economic records, focusing on job creation. While Romney’s record is strong, Obama’s isn’t exactly smooth, given the negative impact his economic positions are having on college students and recent graduates.

The video displays a clear juxtaposition between Obama, who has seemingly embraced his pop-icon status, with Romney – a man who has probably been a little too busy creating jobs to study up on what’s “cool.”
