George W. Bush slipped a piece of candy into Michelle Obama’s hand as he greeted her at the funeral of his father, former President George H.W. Bush.
Bush shook the hands of President Trump, first lady Melania Trump, and former President Barack Obama upon reaching the front row of attendees at the funeral service at the Washington National Cathedral on Wednesday. Then, he slipped something from his left hand into his right hand and snuck it into the right hand of former first lady Michelle Obama.
Obama laughed upon receiving the treat as Bush moved on to shake the hands of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The gesture was similar to the one Bush made at the late Sen. John McCain’s funeral in September. The two made headlines when Bush took a piece of candy from his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, and gave it to Obama.
