Jemini Jones walks slowly down Edmondson Avenue in Southwest Baltimore. The day is sunny and warm, and Jones is dressed in black, his short-sleeve shirt revealing powerful, tattooed arms that once manhandled college running backs. He passes dilapidated brick row houses and trash-filled alleys before turning onto Mt. Holley Street, where Jones points out a nearly hidden apartment once known as a hot spot in Baltimore’s bustling drug trade.

Not that he can do anything about the dealers now.
