A Maryland horse farm owner has been charged with animal cruelty after nearly 150 malnourished horses were found there earlier this year.
Court records show 66-year-old Marsha Parkinson, the owner of Canterbury Farms, is charged in Queen Anne’s County with 34 counts of animal cruelty for failing to provide care for an animal.
The Polish Arabians were seized from the farm. Many were underweight and had infections.
Parkinson is scheduled to go to trial July 27.
