Clinton adds Lady Gaga, Usher to event

Former President Bill Clinton is giving himself and his “William J. Clinton Foundation” a big pat on the back this October, hosting a concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 15 featuring Lady Gaga, Bono, The Edge and Usher — with more big names to be announced.

The event will come one day after Clinton’s 65th birthday gala at the Hollywood Palladium, and is being billed as an anniversary celebration marking his foundation’s 10th year, complete with musical guests and an exhibition of short films highlighting the work he’s been doing since leaving the White House. Pre-sale tickets will be available Thursday for American Express card members, and Monday for everyone else. Prices range from $50 to $5,000. And for those who really want to splurge, there are VIP weekend packages with tickets for both events going for $10,000 (the “champion weekend experience”) or $25,000 (the “all-star weekend experience”).

Don’t worry if you can’t afford to make the trip to Los Angeles — the concert will also be broadcast live on Yahoo! and will be also available on-demand on Yahoo!, where visitors can donate to the foundation.
