This morning’s big announcement that Anita Marks and CBS Radio could not agree on a new contract has started things in motion on a couple of fronts. Now that part of 105.7 The Fan’s top rated afternoon drive team is gone from Baltimore radio, it looks like her partner Scott Garceau will go “solo” for a while as the station has changed the shows name to just the “Scott Garceau Show.”
The program airs daily from 2-6 p.m. and it will be interesting to hear how the always classy Garceau handles the announcement of his partner’s departure from the show.
Meanwhile, MASN will be airing the show today as usual from 3-7 p.m. and they had this statement about Marks leaving CBS Radio:
“As Anita Marks departs CBS Radio to pursue new opportunities, MASN wishes her the very best.
Since the network’s 24×7 launch in July of 2006, Anita has been an afternoon staple on MASN. She has brought sharp analysis, informed opinion and strong perspective on local, regional and national sports to MASN’s audience. We appreciate her three and a half years of service to sports fans in Baltimore and throughout the country.
We wish her the very best with her future endeavors and have every confidence that her star will continue to rise.”
Marks announced this morning that she and CBS Radio could not come to an agreement that would allow her to do national TV projects.
She will be relaxing for a month or so before taking on new projects and heading in a new direction.
