U.S. Park Police are asking the public for information about suspects in a robbery near Dupont Circle.
At about 6 a.m. on Feb. 18 in the park at 20th Street and Connecticut Avenue NW, an assailant hit the victim over the head with a replica handgun, Park Police said.
A second person later used the victim’s credit card at stores on P Street between 14th and 17th streets NW. She made or tried to make purchases of food, gift cards and cell phones, police said.
The first attacker was described as a black man about 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 to 215 pounds with a muscular build. He had a medium brown complexion, was clean-shaven and wore a black coat and a black wool skull cap, police said.
The second robber, as seen on surveillance, is believed to be a white woman about 30 to 40 years old with brown hair and highlights, police said. She was seen driving what police believe to be a two-door white Mitsubishi Eclipse.
