Bad drivers in the District? You don’t say

Here’s a crash course for area drivers: Washington, D.C., ranks No. 1 (for the third year in a row) when it comes to the city with the most accident-prone drivers, according to an annual survey by Allstate.

The auto insurer found motorists in the District get in an accident every 5.1 years. That means they are 96 percent more likely to get in a wreck than the average driver in the United States. Baltimore came in close behind at No. 2, where the average driver crashes every 5.6 years.

Thankfully, there’s always the trusty Metro … not.
