Czech scientists to visit U.Md. School of Medicine

Czech scientists from the $60 million International Clinical Research Center are visiting the University of Maryland School of Medicine this week.

“This new international clinical research center has the potential to tear down many of the barriers which exist in translational medicine, improving our understanding of disease, our ability to enhance patient care and our ability to improve the education of the next generation of clinician-scientists,” the University of Maryland?s Dr. Scott Strome said.

The Czech scientists will meet with Dean E. Albert Reece and other School of Medicine leaders as well as top clinicians and researchers in cardiac surgery; infectious diseases; ear, nose and throat disorders; and genomic medicine.
