It was a single-handed power grab that got everyone’s attention, and the guys from Texas still won anyway 1.
Odell Beckham, Jr., a young and abundantly talented wide receiver for the New York (football) Giants, made a one-handed touchdown catch Sunday night that was the best of the year by mere acclamation. New York’s opponent was the Dallas Cowboys, who, despite Beckham’s airborne act of ballet, prevailed 31-28.
Last Thursday, President Obama made a spectacular one-handed play of his own, circumventing Congress to announce executive action on immigration reform. The reaction on Twitter was sensational.
Not to be outdone, Obama’s Texas opponents are prepared to respond.
“I am prepared to immediately challenge President Obama in court, securing our state’s sovereignty and guaranteeing the rule of law as it is intended under the Constitution,” Texas Attorney General and Governor-elect Greg Abbott said.

1 I know, I know, any court challenge of Obama’s action potentially faces a high hurdle, according to legal experts. It’s a joke.
