President Trump on Friday called North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un a “madman” and said he will be “tested like never before,” the latest salvo in a round of insults between the two world leaders.
“Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before!” Trump tweeted Friday morning.
Late Thursday, Kim threatened to make Trump “pay dearly” for his message before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
“I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire,” Kim said.
Trump on Tuesday called Kim Rocket Man and warned the U.S. would “totally destroy” North Korea if it tested one of its allies or itself.
North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho said Thursday that the regime could detonate a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific Ocean as a way to intimidate the U.S.
