Trump’s announcement on the ban, made Wednesday morning via Twitter, has been met with shock across the political spectrum. Thousands of transgender people already serve in the armed forces.
Kardashian’s former stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, a transgender activist and reality television star, said on Twitter on Wednesday that Trump broke his promise to protect the LGBT community. Jenner is a Republican.
