GRETNA, La. (AP) — Developers seeking to build 15 houses on a 2½-acre tract in the Old Jefferson community have filed a lawsuit against Jefferson Parish after the Parish Council denied its request to subdivide the property.
The Times-Picayune reports (http://bit.ly/1g3EBw9 ) Investment Holdings LLC and landowner KGT Holdings LLC filed suit Jan. 31 in state District Court in Gretna.

The council had denied the company’s requests after Councilman Paul Johnston cited neighborhood opposition.
Johnston said the developers should work with neighbors on their concerns.
The lawsuit claims denial of the division request was “arbitrary and capricious.”
