A lawyer and former D.C. Council candidate was sentenced to six months in prison for embezzling money intended for his clients.
Deairich Hunter pleaded in January to theft of more than $100,000 in payments from insurance companies that were intended to settle some of his clients’ disability and personal injury claims.
