A different kind of ‘immigration reform’
Re: “Review: Illegals increasingly charged in violent crimes,” March 27
Violent illegal immigrants affect the health and welfare of our communities, stealing our tranquility, and the budgets of our jails, raiding our pocketbooks.
My suggestion on how to deal with this problem is not legal, but perhaps someone of influence can find a way to make it lawful: Any illegal alien convicted of a major crime should be deported to his nation of origin. Identifying DNA, pictures, etc. should be filed. The deported person is advised that a later capture within the U.S. will result in the death penalty.
Seems fair to me.

General Motors is advertising on Ford’s dime
Re: “GM recalls 5,000 vans amid alternator concerns,” March 28
I believe it would interest your readers to know that Ford workers and employees, by way of their income tax, are subsidizing General Motors (i.e. Government Motors) and their many ads in newspapers, magazines and on television.
I am sure it makes them feel good to finance the advertisements of their competition!
