Ben Carson thought the first Democratic debate was an absolute snoozefest — literally.
During an interview with Fox News Wednesday night, Carson told host Megyn Kelly that he kept falling asleep during the Tuesday night Democratic debate on CNN — saying that he saw the vast majority of the debate.
“I watched most of it. You know, I kept falling asleep,” Carson said with a laugh. “When I would wake up, I would see parts.”
“The candidates really seemed to pretty much embrace the philosophies of the current administration,” Carson said. “It is that philosophy that has led us to this very dismal place.”

“I don’t think most people think we are moving in the right direction, and it sets 2016 up for a magnificent time in the world of politics because we will be able to contrast a system that is of, for and by the people with a system that is of, for and by the government,” he said.
Carson currently ranks second in the Washington Examiner‘s latest power rankings. The former neurosurgeon sits second in national polling — not far off Donald Trump — with 19 percent support in the latest RealClearPolitics average.
