Wheaton’s Brookside Nature Center will host its annual Forest Friends Festival on Sunday. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center, located at 1400 Glenallan Ave. Participants will be able to celebrate Arbor Day through a number of activities the center describes as “tree-related,” including a ride into a tree canopy and woodcrafts. The center will also have plant, bird and nature photography experts available to answer questions. The entrance fee for the event is $5.
